If you’ve been with Ogerbeads for a while, you know how much love, time, and care goes into every bead and every bead we make. Ogerbeads started at the torch, in a small studio, with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and materials that truly last.

And silver has always been at the heart of what we do.

Silver prices Changes Over the Years

When we first began working with sterling silver, prices were very different. Over the years, we quietly watched silver become more expensiv; year after year. Not just a little, but steadily and significantly the last year.

What This Means in Our Studio

Every Ogerbeads tells a story, but behind that story is a lot of invisible work:

• A sterling silver core for every single bead

• Careful adding the core to each glass bead by hand, finishing, and polishing

• Quality checks so your bead fits perfectly and lasts for years

We don’t work with alternatives. We don’t downgrade materials. And we never choose shortcuts just to keep prices low. That choice has always been part of the Ogerbeads philosophy.

Why We Didn’t Raise Prices Sooner

To be completely honest: We really didn’t want to.

For a long time, we absorbed the rising silverprices ourselves. We chose to keep prices stable because we value accessibility and trust. Many of you are collectors, some of you have been with us for years, and we didn’t want price increases to come between you and the beads you love.

But over time, the gap between silver costs and our prices kept growing.

The Moment We Had to Be Honest with Ourselves

End last year, we reached a point where keeping silver prices unchanged would mean making choices that don’t feel right to us:

• Compromising on materials

• Reducing quality or finish

• Limiting new designs and future collections

That is not Ogerbeads. So we made the difficult, but responsible, decision to introduce a carefully considered price adjustment of 3 euro a bead for new stock only (which might be a bit higher during the year).

What This Price Adjustment Really Means

It means we can continue to:

• Use real 925 sterling silver, without compromise

• Maintain the quality you expect from Ogerbeads

• Keep designing new glass beads and silver charms

• Run our studio in a sustainable, future-proof way

This is not about profit. It’s about staying true to what Ogerbeads stands for.
