My passion and love lie entirely in creating glass beads and designing silver charms. I’m a perfectionist who always strives to bring out the very best in myself, and that dedication is reflected in my work. Before a bead is finally approved for production, dozens of samples are often made to achieve the perfect result. I hope that you can see my love for this craft in every piece I create, the passion to bring joy to people through my work.
A Story Born From Passion and Craft
Ogerbeads was born from a passion and hobby. I used to make necklaces and bracelets using factory-made beads, but I found their quality lacking. During a bead fair, I was pleasantly surprised by someone who was creating their own glass beads using a torch. That same week, I purchased all the necessary materials and tools, and after a beginner’s workshop, I started making my own beads.
Making glass beads is not something you learn overnight, it takes years of dedication, patience, and continuous practice to truly master the craft. Each technique, flame control, and color reaction must be learned through experience and countless hours at the torch.
I’ve always loved creating large-hole beads, inspired by the ones I used to wear on my own bracelet, mixed with beautiful silver Pandora/Trollbeads charms from the jeweler.
Soon, others noticed my work, and I started selling my beads on Etsy. After building a loyal group of returning customers, I decided in 2017 to officially register Ogerbeads as a brand on the Dutch market, and it didn’t take long before we expanded to several other countries as well.
Story behind the designs
Because I am always busy designing and creating Ogerbeads, my beads often come to life from pure enthusiasm, creativity, and sometimes completely out of nowhere. I find inspiration in emotions, memories, and everyday moments, or simply from the things I see happening around me.
Each bead I make, holds a special meaning for me, and I hope that every bead can also carry a meaningful story for you!

Our beads are designed with versatility and quality in mind, featuring a 4.3mm core that fits most major European bracelet brands. This allows you to mix and match effortlessly with your existing collection, creating a bracelet that is uniquely yours. While our beads are affordable and accessible to everyone, we never compromise on materials or craftsmanship. Each piece is made with care, precision, and high-quality glass and silver, ensuring beauty, durability, and lasting value in every design. Whether you prefer a silver look, colorful glass beads, or a combination of both, our beads integrate seamlessly, offering endless possibilities to express your personal style and story.
Sustainability and slow Craft
At Ogerbeads, we believe that true beauty takes time. Our approach is rooted in sustainability and slow craft,meaning we create in small batches rather than mass production. We don’t strive to make as many beads per hour as possible; instead, we take the time needed to perfect each piece. Every bead is carefully crafted by hand, with attention to detail and respect for the materials we use.
After leaving our glass workshop, each bead undergoes a strict inspection to ensure flawless quality. In our own final workshop, the beads are then fitted with a sterling silver core, engraved with our signature mark; a symbol of authenticity and craftsmanship.
This mindful process ensures that every bead meets our high standards of quality and artistry, resulting in a piece that is not only beautiful but also made with intention and care for both the wearer and the world around us.
